The bad news is that you can't just run it straight HDMI in to the switcher. So for me this isn't just a non-issue it is ideal. Personally I'm not a fan of HDMI and always try to run SDI when possible. Plugged the GoPro in to that and took the SDI straight in to the switcher. ![]() What if the issue is how the GoPro is negotiating with the switcher's HDMI interface? I also happened to have a BMD HDMI to SDI format converter laying around. Turns out, if you plug a Hero 3 in to an ATEM camera converter and bring that in to the 2M/E switcher via SDI, it works great! No color space issues, nice clear picture! Huzzah! I was unable to get it to work like I wanted, but happened to have an ATEM Camera Converter and Studio converter in my rig. Almost like the color space is wrong (YUV vs RGB). ![]() When plugging the Hero 3 directly in to the HDMI port on the ATEM, I get a green image. It is possible that the forum already knows all of these details, but a quick search didn't yield all of my results, so I figured I would share. Been testing different items with my ATEM 2M/E switcher and I thought I would share the results of my GoPro Hero 3 tests.
